The press conference offered the party the opportunity to review its services from the assumption of the office.

He said that the over 140 patrol vehicles were distributed to security agencies to increase their mobility and response skills.

“Despite the security challenges that affect some areas of the local government, in particular in the eastern Senatorial district, the administration of the governor Ahmed Aliyu has taken decisive measures to combat the bandit and improve public security,” he said.

According to him, the governor had also established the body of the community guards to integrate the efforts of conventional security agencies, adding that the agency had been equipped with essential and logistical operational tools to strengthen local safety networks.

“Based on this new body of community guards, the state government has provided several interventions that include: organizing a professional training program for members of 2,600 Corps guards with all the necessary equipment and logistics.”

He said the government also provided 30 Toyota Hilux vans with complete insurance coverage and about 800 motorcycles made available to relieve the mobility of the body staff.

“The government has also built, equipped and provided operating offices for the body of the community guards in all 13 areas of the local government affected by insecurity in the state.”

Alhaji Sadiq said that government interventions achieved significant results, with the security personnel who recorded important successes in facing criminal activities.

This, he observed, was highlighted in improving security indicating a gradual restoration of social and economic activities in previously troubled areas.
