The Spanish Second Division League team, Almeria, has offered the Super Eagles Sadiq Umar striker the opportunity to return to the club with its uncertain future in true society, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
According to Almería’s voice, the Second Division team is interested in meeting with the 28 -year -old, who scored 43 goals in 84 games for them, helping them obtain ascent to the Spanish Superior Division.
He joined Royal Sociedad for 20 million euros, but an unfortunate injury of ACL saw him lose the entire first season in the club, and since then he has not found his level that leads to his loan agreement to Valencia in the second half of last season.
Now back in society and fully integrated in training prior to the season, the newly promoted Elche wants to reinforce his attack, with his six goals in 19 games for Valencia towards the end of last season, which makes it a viable option for teams in Spain.
However, he is not completely convinced by his proposal. The same reason he decided against the option of joining the Turkish side Samsunspor, who was interested with another team in the same league in Besiktas.
For now, he will continue to train with the true company pending when an agreement will be reached on his next destination.
