Alauma proud of Warri Wolves’s sand in 2024/25 nnl Match vs wikki tourist title

Warri Warri Wolves, Napoleon, Aluma, has told him Completsports.com That he is proud of the resistance of his players after his hard 3–2 victory over Bauchi Wikki tourists in the match for the title of the Nigeria National League (NNL) on Saturday 2024/2025 at the Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba.

Aluma praised the determination and discipline of his team, especially when visating the storm of a resurgual Wikki tourist in the second half.

“I am proud of them. They did the job. We marked our goals when the opportunities arrived and could contain them when they woke up,” Aluma said.

“You know, at 3–2, anything can happen. If they did 3–3, then we would have been under pressure. Then, I thank the children for clinging to our defensive discipline.”

Yusuf hits MVP honors for the star screen

Similarly, striker Lateef Yusuf, who was named the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament, told Upelesports.com that he is dedicating the award to his teammates and the loyal fans of the Seasiders.

Yusuf made an early statement in the final by reducing Warri Wolves’s opening goal only seven minutes from the game. His attack shook giant elephants and interrupted his rhythm, racing the way for two more goals in the 26th minute.

After receiving his MVP trophy, the striker said that the honor was an appropriate reward for an effort of a season driven by his teammates and inspired by fans.

“I am happy for this award. It is a reward for my efforts, of course, made possible by my teammates,” said the attacker.

“I also dedicate it to our fans and followers for being behind us from the beginning of the season, encouraging us, at home and outside.

“I am proud of them, and together we will make it great in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) next season.”

NPFL eyes while Warri Wolves celebrates the promotion

With the promotion now sealed, both Alauma and Yusuf believe that Warri Wolves has what is necessary to shine in the highest category. The performance of the team along the NNL Super 8 showed not only the attack style but also the tactical resilience, the qualities of which they aim to take to the NPFL.
