Anambra APC refused Soludo’s visit to Tinubu, said that would not save him from the election defeat

The Anambra State Chapter from the Congress of All Progressive (APC) has criticized Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his new visit to the President of the Tinubu Soccer, describing the step as a futile effort to increase his political position ahead of the November governor election.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by Okechukwu Modebe, spokesman for the Nicholas Ukachukwu/Uche Ekwunife Campaign Organization, APC labeled a soludo meeting with the President at the President’s villa on Tuesday as the last “Dying Horse” and “Decrease offer to remove decreased political influence.”

Soludo, a member of the All All Alliance Grand Progressive (APGA), has promised support for the Tinubu 2027 re -election offer during the meeting, a step that APC claimed to be presented as a political support that did not exist.

“The latest efforts to posture cameras with the President’s MR cannot delete four years of government, termination from the grassroots, and errors of political calculations,” the statement said. “Meeting parades such as ratification insulting the intelligence of Anambra voters.”

Modebe reiterated the focus of APC in the upcoming Governor Election and Anambra South Senatorial South, describing the party candidate, the Head of Azuka Okwuosa, as a “political iron gate” that was able to prove the popularity of APGA’s Waning. He urged the Independent National Election Commission to ensure a free and fair poll, warning that “Business days as usual in Anambra’s politics have ended.”

Meanwhile, President Tinubu on Wednesday praised Soludo after a visit, describing the governor as “friends of more than two decades.”

In a posting on his verified Facebook page, the President said their discussion included ongoing reforms, security challenges, and creation of inclusive opportunities for Nigerian youth.

“We share strong beliefs that all those who claim to be progressive must work together to deepen our democracy, strengthen security, and change our economy,” said Tinubu. “We will continue to bet in our beloved country, Nigeria, to ensure sustainable and joint prosperity for the future.”
