Antalyaspor interested in signing the free agent Henry Onyakuru

Antalyaspor has made a movement for the Nigerian end Henry Onyakuru, according to Buchi Laba reports.

The Turkish club has presented an offer for the 28 -year -old, but has not yet given green light, since it is still considering the proposal.

Onyekuru is taking his time to evaluate his options, with the interest that also comes from other Turkish clubs, as well as teams in Europe and Asia.

If the movement passes, Antalyaspor is prepared to send a private plane to take it from Nigeria to Türkiye, since it is considered one of its main transfer objectives.

Onyekuru is currently a free agent after the expiration of his contract with the side of Saudi Arabia al-Fayha.

He made 38 appearances and scored 11 goals in two seasons at the club. However, his 2023/24 campaign was tarnished by recurrent muscle injury, which limits it to only four appearances in the League.

Onyekuru, a totally limited Nigerian international, made his debut for the Super Eagles in 2017 and since then he has won 15 caps.

He was part of the team that won the bronze in the 2019 African Nations Cup.

If the transfer materializes, it will not be your first period in Türkiye.

He previously played for Galatasaray, where he won the titles of the League and the Cup and appeared in the UEFA Champions League. He also played for Demirspor.
