The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, on Saturday boasted that he would win a landslide victory in the election.
Okpebholo stated this shortly after he cast his vote at unit 03, Ward 1, Uwessan in Esan Central local government area of ββthe state.
He said his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, Asue Ighodalo, would not get a single vote in his home polling station.

βPDP or whatever will not get a single vote here because this is my home and my people love me,β he said.
APC candidates have praised the National Electoral Commission (NEC) for its handling of the election.
“What I see here is like a testimony that the KPU has done the right thing,” he said.
On security arrangements for the voting, the senator dismissed complaints that the large security presence was intimidating.
βI know that everything they say is about security, it’s just exaggerating the situation.
“I mean nothing happened. You can see! Nobody fought. There was no knockout, there was no match. So it was just to scare people out of voting.
βYou know Obaseki wanted to cause fire in Edo state, but by the grace of God everything worked out perfectly,β the APC candidate concluded.
