APC G3 Lambasts Babachir Lawal for criticizing Tinubu visit to the Vatican

A support group at the congress of all first -line progressives, the APC basic governance group (APC G3) replied a former secretary to the government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, for the accredited comments on the recent visit of President Bola Tinubu in the Vatican.

The group said that the comments show that the opposition is of vein, confused and desperate in view of the general elections of 2027, adding that the supporters of the desperate coalition want to use the delicate question of religion to cause malice.

Lawal had described the visit of Tinubu as unjust and offensive for the Christian population of Nigeria.

He also said that the visit was probably organized by the lobbyists and argued that a Muslim president who led eminent Christian to the Pope was inappropriate.

APC G3 in a Thursday declaration signed by its national coordinator, Amechi Chuks. Oyemma said that Babachir and his group exhausted the steam even before the start of the race.

He wondered how Babachir condemns the visit while he received a large commendation from the Catholic bishops and the Christian community.

According to the APC G3 “President Bola Tinubu confused and disappointed Babachir and his group who wanted to use the issue of the Muslim ticket-Muslim to polarize the country.

“Rather, the Nigerians have seen that the president is bringing all religions. In the current dispensation, no religion, Muslim or Christian will complain of being marginalized by this administration.

“Babachir and the so -called confused and desperate coalitions are in a panic mood. They wanted to use the delicate question of religion to cause malice, but this was a new dish.

“Their refusal by the vast majority of the Nigerians is making them confuse. The Nigerians refused to swallow the seed of discord who wanted to sow in the minds of citizens.”
