Congress of all Progressive (APC) in the state of Oyo on Thursday expressed concern over the alleged plan by Governor Seyi Makinde to get a new N300 billion loan.
The State Assembly Council reunited on August 26 to consider the Governor’s request for loan approval.
In a statement issued by the secretary of its publicity in the state, Olawale aware, APC regretted that the step raised questions about transparency and legal processes in government.
The party warns that sustainable loans can affect the country’s economy and the welfare of its citizens if not managed carefully.

He accused that the decision to approve the loan was made without the involvement of four parliamentary members in the DPR ..
The party remembered that the latest loan was the third in 2025, after the previous loan of N200 billion in March and N110 billion in July.
APC compared Oyo with the IMO State, where the Governor hoped that the new Uzodimma -this was increasing the minimum wage of workers to N104,000, citing better financial management.
The party regretted that regardless of significant resources, people in the state of Oyo have not seen a direct improvement in their lives since 2019.
