The armed people suspected of the Fulani militia have killed seven miners in a mining location in the Wang Community in the Bokkos Regional Government area in the State Highlands.
Armed men also injured three other people in Saturday night attacks.
Witnesses told reporters on Monday that the attackers stormed the mining location with sophisticated weapons while the victims were involved in mining activities and shot at them.
A youth leader in the Wang community, Christopher Luka, said the attack would not occur if the miners heeded the warnings of the night mining.

He stated that security agents had issued a warning to people to stop going to the mining site due to threats, but the deceased ignored the warning.
The wound also noted that the new Agro Rangers were inaugurated to have issued several warnings that people had to stop mining activities, but they refused and continued to sneak into the mining location at night when security had gone.
Two survivors, Shanono Usman Adam and Maren Moses, who also confirmed the incident, explained that the deceased was busy at the mining site when armed people invaded the site and fired shots on them.
They added that the remnants of the deceased had been taken to the morgue at the Bokkos General Hospital.
