Army buries 22 soldiers, officers killed in Niger ambush (see full list) – Blueprint Newspapers Limited

The Nigerian Army on Friday buried 22 of its personnel killed by terrorists in an ambush in Niger state.
They were buried at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.

Those present at the burial parade were Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Service Chiefs and family members of the deceased.

The Defence Headquarters confirmed that the officers lost their lives in combat, including an air mission, on August 14.

Meanwhile, some of the deceased officers had already been buried by their families.
