Super Eagles and KRC Genk Forward, Tolu Arokodare, have their eyes fixed on winning the professional league title, despite Genk’s recent form.
The 24 -year -old has enjoyed an outstanding campaign for the Thorsten Fink team, scoring 22 goals and providing five assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.
His form has not only promoted the impulse of Genk’s title, but also caught the attention of clubs such as Newcastle United and Fulham.
The reports have also linked Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund with the Nigerian, although speculation around the Bundesliga giants seems to be exaggerated.
Despite Arokodare’s individual brilliance, Genk has reached a bad condition, winning only one of his last five games.
The receipt has seen them to third place in the league table, three points behind the Union St. Gilloise leaders with four games to play, but Tolu is not giving up.
“He feels great, sincerely,” Arokodare told Sports Boom when asked about his goal form. “I try not to think too much about my main approach is to win the title. Marking 20 goals is fantastic, but the goal is to win the Superior Prize with this club.”
On whether he sees himself leaving Genk soon, former FC Köln striker and SC Amiens did not shy away from admitting his premier League ambitions.
“For the noise of the media, I just try to keep me focused and keep my head clear. The future is not written, but like many players, it is a dream of mine playing one day in the Premier League.”
