The police operation arrested two suspects identified as Yunusa Abdullahi and Peace Keno Danlami in connection with the murder of a Chinese citizen in the state of Ogun.
The victim, Chen Wang, White Resource Limited staff, Ogere, was stabbed until he died in his office on January 12.
The troop community relations officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said: “The incident, which occurred on January 12, 2025, immediately attracted attention when the Ogun State Police Command received a dangerous call to the discovery of a lifeless body in his office. The initial finding revealed that the deceased had suffered a fatal stab wound in the chest.
“The arrest of the suspect followed the operation which was coordinated carefully and moved by intelligence.

“The Nigerian Police Technical Intelligence Unit was deployed to support the Department of Criminal Investigation of the State of Ogun, Eleweran, to assist in the investigation.
“In line with the strategic police mandate from the Police Inspector General, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Nigerian Police Technical Intelligence Unit was immediately mobilized to provide operational and high -level technology support.
“When serving overtime, they allegedly deactivated the company’s security system, illegally accessing Mr. Wang’s office and carried out a fatal attack. They then stole the key to their residence, which they then visited before escaping from the country with stolen cash.
“The rapid spread of digital forensics, biometric analysis, and human intelligence by the Nigerian police played a decisive role in bringing the perpetrators to the court.”
