The shepherd Amos Isah, the founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry in Gwagwalada, Abuja, was accused last Wednesday.
He appeared in front of the Alta Corte Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the accusations of raping a 14 -year -old girl inside the church auditorium.
A Saharareportters report said that the police accused Pastore Isah at the FCT High Court 1, Maitama.
The case had aroused widespread indignation, with the requests of justice among the fears of a delayed judicial proceeding.
Shepherd Isah was arrested on June 18, 2025, after the victim’s father filed a complaint.
The priest is accused of attracting the minor in the new church auditorium, of blocking more doors and having attacked it sexually.
After the assault, he presumably gave her ₦ 3000 for “medicines” after noticing that he was bleeding and threatened to kill her and his family if he had reported the accident.
A family member said that Isah had a prey story in minor girls, often bringing to isolated areas in his colorful window car.
According to reports, the latest accident followed a scheme in which the girls would have manipulated in meeting him with false pretensions before attacking them.
Despite the completion of the investigation of the Department of Criminal Investigations of the Force (FCID), the shepherd Isah remained in detention for weeks without formal accusations.
His order of postponement was to expire, raising suspicions of intentional delays in judicial proceedings.
Sources indicated that the case file was forwarded to the FCID legal department, but no immediate action was undertaken, fueling concerns about possible interference.
The accusations shocked the congregation and the wider audience, in particular given the public image of the shepherd Isah as a charismatic preacher who has often preached on holiness and morality on social media. His church, located behind Noble Noel Academy in Gwagwalada, was an important center of worship in the area.
The victim’s father reported the crime after learning the assault, leading to Isah’s arrest. However, the family expressed frustration for the slow legal process, fearing that the case could be swept under the carpet.
An disclosed relative: “He has targeted minors for years. This girl is only one of many. We ask for justice and solicit the authorities to make sure that he faces the full anger of the law”. [SaharaReporters]
