“As Fidelity Bank supports the acquisition of aircraft” …

The president, Air Peace Limited, dr. Allen Onyema, highlighted the role played by Fidelity Bank in the acquisition of planes at the beginning of the carrier over a decade ago, despite the general reluctance of financial institutions to invest in Nigerian aviation.

Speaking on the weekend, Onyema told how Dr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, then CEO of Fidelity Bank, approved the critical funding that allowed Air Peace to acquire his first plane.

“Without the audacity of the Fidelity Bank at a time when no Nigerian bank wanted to touch the aviation, today there may not have been an aerial peace,” said Onyema.

“The success of this airline belongs to those who were with us in our first days when the probability were stacked against us.”

He stressed that the aviation remains one of the most highly intensity of capital industries globally, observing that even Legacy carriers such as British Airways and Delta are very entrusted to institutional funding.

The recognition of Onyema underlines the critical role of strategic financial partnerships in the development of the ecosystem of the aviation of Nigeria.

Speaking while it was formally introduced in the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) on the evening of quarterly members reflecting the growing influence of the airline as a commercial motor, tourism and economic diplomacy between the two nations.

Provide the address of Keynote entitled: “Runways to Revenue: taking advantage of the aviation to deepen the opportunities of Nigerian investment”, Onyema, he spoke passionately of the role of aviation in the reduction of commercial costs, in the enhancement of tourism, in facilitating the bonds of people-people and unlocking the unlocking opportunities for bilateral growth.

Onyema said: “The aviation is not a luxury; it is an anchor of economic rescue. It reduced commercial costs, attracts investments, increases tourism and strengthens the ties of people-people”.

Onyema has highlighted the investments in progress of Air Peace, including its revolutionary for the largest structure of maintenance, repair and revision (Mro) African in Lagos, which will save billions in Nigeria in foreign currency and create jobs for thousands.
