The University Academic Staff Union (ASUU), JOS University Branch, has begun strikes on non-payment salaries of its June members’ salaries.
The Chairman of Asuu at the university, Jurbe Molwus, gave direction in a message to members of the union in JOS.
The memo was seen by journalists on Friday.
He said the service withdrawal would continue until the salary was paid after the agreement was achieved with the state government.
The chairman said the branch attack monitoring team had been activated to monitor compliance.

“Beloved colleagues, this is to ask all members to distance themselves from lectures and legal meetings if our salary for June 2025 is not paid at 11:59 pm today, July 3, 2025,” he said.
“This is in line with the NEC resolution that still exists that ‘Branches must take action when the salary is not paid on the third day of the new month’ and our congress resolution on June 4, 2025, confirms this position.
“The action will take effect starting at 12:01am on Friday, July 4, 2025.
“Please make sure the compliance is full until you are communicated to continue the work. The Branch Monitoring Monitoring Team will be activated to monitor compliance.”
