At Coronation, Ladoja demands the creation of the Ibadan state

Olubadan Baru, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Friday submitted an appeal to the President of Bola Tinubu to create a state of Ibadan before 2027.

Monarch made a call after he was faced with office staff as Olubadan’s 444 by the Governor of State Oyo, Seyi Makinde, at Mapo Hall in the Capital of the State.

He said, “My people sent me a message to the President. Mr. President, they said the creation of the Ibadan state was their priority.”

In his previous words. Makinde said that the emergence of Ladoja as a new Olubadan was a source of pride for people in the city.

The governor said: “It is a great honor to join in celebrating the coronation and presentation of office staff to His Majesty Empire, Oba Adewolu Ladoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

“The excitement and excitement that fills Ibadan today reminds us of the importance of upholding our valuable traditions.

“It is my prayers that the Oba Adewolu Ladoja government will deliver greater peace, unity and progress to Ibadanland and for the OYO state as a whole.”
