Athlete Veterano Oradipe called Afn Auditor

Dr. Samuel Kolawole Oreedipe, vice -president of the Bayelsa State Athletics Association, has been appointed auditor of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (Afn), reporting his growing influence in the nation’s sports administration.

The head of the president of the AFN Tonobok Okowa, recently re -elected for a second term, announced the appointment of Oreedipe in Abuja after his oath ceremony.

Okowa highlighted the role of Oradipe as a key step to guarantee financial transparency within the Federation.

Former athlete and founder of Samkay Athletics Club, Oreedipe brings vast experience to the Board of Directors.

Previously he ran for the south-south zonal representative position during the Afn elections in Benin City, in the state of Edo.

He currently holds the position of deputy director of news at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, while also acts as a general manager of the new media for the Governor of the State of Bayelsa.

Other noteworthy appointments to the AFN Board of Directors include Dr. Nneka Nkem Anibieze as Chief Operating Officer, the lawyer Bamidele Edokpaye as a legal consultant and Mr. Babajide Odedeji as a safeguard officer.

Okowa praised the new members of the Council, underlining their collective commitment to advance Nigerian athletics through integrity and excellence.
