Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Basketmouth revealed on Nedu’s The Honest Bunch podcast that 90% of what his colleague AY said about their friendship and fight was a lie. The comedian added that they have never been friends, as there has never been any day he called on AY to hang out or banter with him as a friend. To buttress his point, Basket pointed out that there is no photo of them on social media together.
Basketmouth added that a lot of his friends had warned him about AY, calling him a snake who would only shed his skin to become a bigger snake. About the wedding AY revealed that he wasn’t invited, but his wife’s name showed up on the list, Basketmouth disclosed that was another lie

AY told the truth. The fact is that BM is jealous of AY's massive success in the industry. BM wanted AY to be under him just like Buchi, but AY is more ambitious. When AY "shed his skin to become bigger", BM became jealous as AY was the upcoming artist at that time. Same thing happened to Bovi. BM wanted Bovi to be under him, but no Bovi "shed his skin and became bigger" and today that their relationship is somewhat distant to the point that people think that Bovi and BM are enemies. BM is exhibiting narcissistic behaviour or tendencies. Although BM may be funnier than AY but AY maybe has more business acumen and human resource and capital management skill than BM, that is why AY Live is a house hold name, not AY; and Basketmouth is a house hold name, not Papa Benji. AY only wanted public sympathy. The first person to cry online is always hiding something. If you really want to reconcile with the person and sorry, then you meet someone that Basket mouth was closed with and not coming to social media and granting interview about someone else. Ay said Basket mouth was the rave of the moment at that time but truth b told is AY can't compare to Basket mouth in terms of comedy and who is funnier.
Do you know how much Basket mouth makes from his TV show my flatmates. You should not say what you are not sure of because i feel AY is lying. Ay feels it is because of the 30k but Basket mouth told him a secret which he was supposed to keep as a friend. If you call yourself my friend then there are things which you should not say when you know I told you about them thinking you would keep it a secret.
Basketmouth is a liar at first he said he did not have any beef with AY later he said no pictures of them. And he is not even wanting to admit little things like they were colleagues before things went south
