Ayra Starr, Temps, Burno Boy, others nominated for 2025 Bet Awards

The organizers of the 2025 Bet Awards have selected appointed for different categories with Nigerian artists who occupy the list.

The organizers published the list on Thursday 8 May 2025.

A quintet of Nigerian stars Afrobeats, Burno Boy, Teles, Rema, Ayra Starr and Remolipopi, were among the names.

Ayra Starr led the contingent with three nominations, including the best women’s R&B/pop artist, the best new artist and the best international act.

Temps sautéed two nominations in the bet on its category for its traces of enhancement that burn and cling.

Rema, Deripopi and Burna Boy have gained a nomination each. Burno Boy has been appointed for the best male hip-hop artist, Rema for Best International Act, and Deripopi for the best new international act.

The American rapper Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations for the 2025 Bet Awards with 10 notes of the nod, closely followed by Drake, Future, Doechii and Glorilla with six nominations each.

The winners will be revealed during the live ceremony on June 9 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, broadcast on Bet.
