Flying Eagles’s duo, Daniel Bamayi and Ahmed Akinyele, have been included in the Wafu B U-20 team of the tournament.
Bamayi and Akinyele helped the Flying Eagles to a finalist in the recently completed competition in Ghana.
The best 11 of the tournament was dominated by the champion Côte D’IVorire, who beat the Flying Eagles 1-0 in the final.
An expensive error by Ebenezer Harcourt at the end of the game was punished by a ivory player.
Harcourt could not have a firm grip of a set piece while dropping the ball that the ivory player pounced on the network.
The WAFU B U-20 is part of the preparations for the Flying Eagles before the FIFA U-20 World Cup this year in Chile.
They are drawn in the same group with Colombia, Norway and Saudi Arabia.

In the U-20 AFCon in Egypt, Aliyu Zubairu’s team defeated the host team in the third play-off.
