A vice -president of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, rejoiced with the Muslims in the country to the successful completion of this year’s Fast Ramadan, exhorting them to carry on the lessons of the Benedetto month.

Eid-El-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan Fast, the fourth pillar of Islam, during which Muslims are dedicated to intense adoration and prayers to the omnipotent Allah.

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), under the guidance of its general president and Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on Saturday evening he declared on Sunday 30 March, as the first day of Shawwal.

Senator Barau, in a declaration of his special councilor for the media and advertising, Ismail Mudashir, prayed Allah SWT to accept supplications, prayers and good deeds of UMMAH during the Benedetto month.

Senator Barau, the first vice -president of the Ecowas Parliament, urged everyone to support the lessons of the sacred month and always reflect on them in their daily activities.

He urged all citizens to continue praying for the country and to give their full support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he faces the challenges of the nation.

He reiterated the commitment of the National Assembly to implement the legislation necessary to support the President’s efforts.

The vice-president of the Senate expressed optimism that the new regional development commissions in the North West, in the north center, south-east, south-west and south-south will contribute significantly to the development of the regions of the country.

President Tinubu recently agreed to the invoices approved by the National Assembly to establish these five regional commissions (Senator Barau sponsored the bill for the Commission for the development of the North West) to face the challenges of the country’s development.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my Muslim companions throughout the country and to all the Nigerians while we celebrate Eid-El-Fitr this year, marking the end of the Ramadan Fast. May Allah SWT accept our prayers, supplications and good deeds during this Benedetto month.

“In the spirit of the season, we reach the needy and the poor, both during the celebrations. We continue to pray for our country and for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to positively transform our country. Regardless of our differences, unite and practice tolerance by living peacefully with each other,” he said.
