In a lively match at Anfield, Fulham struggled to match Liverpool’s intensity, with the home team asserting control at key moments in the match.

Despite the defeat, Bassey put in a disciplined performance in defence, making crucial interventions and maintaining the defensive structure under sustained pressure from Liverpool’s attack.

Iwobi, operating in midfield, showed flashes of creativity and industry, attempting to link play between defense and attack.

The Super Eagles star covered significant ground and looked to push Fulham forward, but the visitors found it difficult to break through Liverpool’s organized set-up.

Chukwueze came on in the 80th minute, replacing Harry Wilson, as Fulham pushed to respond late. However, his brief involvement was not enough to alter the result, as Liverpool effectively managed the final minutes to secure victory.

The result leaves Fulham just outside the middle of the table with 44 points from 32 games, as they continue to search for consistency in the final stretch of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool remain in fifth place with 52 points, strengthening their bid for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.

While the result did not go in Fulham’s favour, the constant involvement of Bassey and Iwobi underlines their importance to the team’s set-up.

As the campaign nears its end, the London club will look to regroup quickly and end the season on a positive note.
