Bayer Leverkusen has separated from the head coach Erik Ten Hag after only two of the responsible Bundesliga matches, in one of the most suddenly managerial dismissal in the history of the new German football.
The Dutch, who were appointed during the summer after leaving Manchester United, were expected to lead Leverkusen to a new era of stability and domestic titles.
However, a bad beginning for the Bundesliga campaign – who saw the team gathered only one point from their two opening equipment – had pushed the club hierarchy to act quickly.
Ten Hag’s Sack was revealed in a statement posted on the X Bayer Leverkusen account on Monday.

“Bayer 04 Leverkusen has separated from head coach Erik Ten Hag immediately,” the club said in a statement.
“The training will be taken over by the Assistant Staff of the Coach for now.”
Ten Hag arrived in Germany with a reputation for tactical discipline and player development, having previously guided Ajax to domestic dominance and the Champions League semifinals.
But his short term in Leverkusen marked another setback after the turbulent spell in England.
Leverkusen, who finished last season in the top four Bundesliga and competed in Europe this season, will now face the challenges of stabilization quickly to avoid further disturbances.
