Bello Turji attacks again, escapes the attack, killing a number of civilian guards in Zamfara

The bandit Kingpin sought, Bello Turji has reportedly killed a dozen members of the Civil Protection Guard Zamfara (CPG), in a clash between his gang and local guards in Cida Village in the Shinkafi Regional Government in the state.

A security expert in the northwestern region, and Katsina who shared a disturbing news on his X grip on Tuesday night, said the incident occurred in the early morning when local guards led by a converted bandit, Bashari Meniyo, invaded Turji’s hiding place with the aim of rinsing out of the state because of his courage.

Quoting local sources, and Katsina said a cruel and bloody clash between the Turji gang and the guards caused the murder of 40 from them including Meniyo while the Bandit leader lost almost 100 people even though he managed to escape to the rocks around him with several soldiers of his feet.

“CPG, supported by Borno State Civil JTF, launched an attack on the Turji camp to catch him dead or alive,” he said.

“The mission was led by a repentant bandit, Bashari Meniyo.
They mobilize themselves under Meniyo’s leadership and go straight to the Turji camp to make him die or live without the knowledge of security agents.

“It is unknown to them, Turji got information that they came to fight him; Thus, he quickly mobilized his men, who were more than 1000.

“In the next battle of weapons that lasted several hours, there was a heavy battle between the two groups without the intervention of security agents.

“More than 40 CPG members including Meniyo and more than 100 Turji troops were killed, but the bandit leader fled.

“If the security agent comes to the area when the fight takes place, Turji will be killed.

“Turji then released a video showing the execution of former Bandit Bashari Meniyo, accused him of helping the security forces after leaving the bandit.”
