United States President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement that the president tested positive for COVID-19 during a campaign trip to Las Vegas on Wednesday.
This is the third time Biden has tested positive for the coronavirus.
He first tested positive for the infectious disease on July 21, 2022, and the second time nine days later.

The statement read: “He has been vaccinated and given an additional dose of the vaccine, and he is experiencing mild symptoms.
“He will return to Delaware, where he will self-isolate and will continue to perform all of his duties fully during that time.
“The White House will provide regular updates on the president’s status as he continues to carry out the full duties of his office while in isolation.”
