Social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, is apparently under the scanner of the police, as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of fraud and forgery.
Both agencies have confirmed receiving petitions against the influencer, and that allegations of alleged fraud and financial misconduct are being investigated.
The Delta State Police Command confirmed that it had received a petition regarding the matter, while the anti-corruption agency said that it had begun investigating allegations of financial misconduct linked to him.
This development follows allegations that the influencer faked a cancer diagnosis and used doctored medical reports to solicit donations from the public.

Speaking, the Delta State Command Police Public Relations Officer, Edefa Bright, said, “We received the petition; we are waiting for the complainant to come and give us their statement. We will investigate after that.”
Additionally, EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, said, “There is a petition submitted; we received it and we will look into it. Whatever our findings are will determine our next course of action.”
The controversy surrounding Okoro started after he admitted to battling cancer, which attracted sympathy and support from his followers.
However, inconsistencies in his claims sparked widespread backlash, and many questioned the authenticity of the diagnosis.
