Bobrisky back in trouble with EFCC

Cross dresser and ex-convict, Idris Okuneye (aka Bobrisky) appears to be in trouble again with the anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Eradication Commission (KPK).

This is as the agency stated on Tuesday that Bobrisky and Martins Vincent Otse (aka VeryDarkMan) have been invited to answer questions regarding a viral video in which it was claimed that Bobrisky paid a bribe of N15 million to an official of the agency to drop money laundering charges against the transgender.

Bobrisky was charged last year with money laundering and misuse of naira. The money laundering charges were later dropped, and he was jailed for money laundering.

However, in the video, VDM claims Bobrisky said he was not serving his sentence in prison, but in an apartment after he paid a bribe.

The agency has now invited Bobrisky and VDM to assist in its investigation into the matter.

In a swift reaction, the EFCC boss said he had set up a Team of Investigators to critically probe the allegations.

“To this end, the Commission hereby invites Okuneye and Otse to appear at the Lagos Directorate to assist investigators in uncovering the alleged bribery.

“The EFCC wishes to assure the public that the allegations will be thoroughly investigated and the findings will be duly made public,” said Dele Oyewale, Head of Media & Publicity at the EFCC.
