Bobrisky released from prison after four months

Nigerian transgender Idris Okuneye Olarenwaju alias Bobrisky has been released from prison after spending four months in custody.

Bobrisky was seen in a video shared on Monday with his friends dancing to Mohbad and Chike’s viral song titled: *Egwu.”

The video also shows his friends saying, β€œWe are out of prison.” Congratulations, Bobrisky.

The transgender woman was sentenced to six months in prison for misuse of naira by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos, on April 12.

He was charged with six counts of money laundering and misuse of Naira, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 5.

However, after he confessed to his crime, the court dropped the money laundering charges against him but found him guilty of misuse of naira.

In addition, the court ruled that he should remain in the custody of the EFCC in Lagos.

On April 5, Bobrisky pleaded guilty to four counts of naira misuse filed against him by the commission.
