Bode George urged Tinubu to implement the 2014 Confab Report for Clark and Adebanjo

A former vice chairman of the National (South) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Head of Bode George, on Friday urged the Tinubu Bola President to implement the 2014 National Conference Report to respect the older statesman, the Head of Ayo Adebanjo and the Head of Edwin Clark.

Clark, a former Federal Commissioner for information, died at the age of 97 in February.

Adebanjo, a former leader of the Pan-Ypruba socio-cultural group, Afenifer, died on February 14.

He is 96 years old.

George, who spoke to journalists at a media briefing in Lagos, given that the two participated actively in Confab which was united by the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The military governor of the former Kondo state said he worked tightly with Adebanjo and Clark on sub-communities that focused on changes in the 1999 constitution.

He said: “Mr. President, I begged you today, May 2, released the 2014 Confrab report for the benefit of people in this country, in the memories of the two parents, to capture their names.

“These people – Adebanjo, Clark, and older statesmen – cry to Tinubu to release and implement the report.

“The report was agreed in a round voice in the plenary session by the delegates that (implementation) was when we could be peaceful.

“When I saw all the work – the contribution of these two elders – and saw it, they died three days apart. I am not afraid to say we will take over from where they started.”
