Boss EFCC Olukoyede Bags Award for the courage of justice, transparency

The executive president of the Commission for economic and financial crimes (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, was recognized for his commitment for transparency, justice and integrity in the fight against corruption and other financial crimes as he was awarded with the prestigious prize for the courage of justice and transparency by the Nigerian community for human rights.

A press statement from the FCC spokesman, Delewale, Thursday in Abuja, said that the Yhe event, which took place in Lagos on Wednesday, participated in the main public employees, leader of civil society and interested parties in governance and justice.

He said that Olukoyede, who was represented by the head of the commission staff, commander of the Fcc, Ce Michael Nzekwe, underlined the collective responsibility of all Nigerians in the fight against corruption, stating that “we owe this obligation towards our nation and future generations. Fighting corruption really requires courage.”

He described the recognition for the courage of justice and transparency as humiliating and motivating, adding that the fight against the resolution of the year requires a resolution.

“Corruption is a monstrous mountain and you need courage to break it into pieces. The most difficult thing to say is not faced with threats and challenges,” he said.

The head of the Commission also underlined the need for transparency between EFCC agents and the entire judicial system, stating that “the one who comes to equity must come with clean hands”.

He dedicated the prize to the laborious commission staff and expressed appreciation for the Nigerian Human Human Community and the environmental network of Green Peoples for honor.

“This prize will certainly encourage us to do more,” he said.

Olukoyede has invited civil society and defense groups to intensify efforts to promote justice and integrity across the country.

“We must build a formidable synergy against corruption. Every small success in breaking the hard nut of corruption is significant and if we remain consistent, in the end we managed to drop the rocky tower of graft in our land.

“The EFCC is committed to supporting its mandate and strengthening the anti -corruption struggle of Nigeria, inspired by awards like this that affirm its lasting efforts,” he added.
