The Polish National Electoral Commission declared the nationalist Karol Nawrocki the winner of the presidential elections.
With all the votes counted, the Commission declared on Monday that Nawrocki, a conservative detention supported by the opposition, had won 50.89 percent of the votes in a close defeat against the Liberal Mayor of Warsaw Rafal Trzaskowski, who took 49.11 percent.
The result will complicate the domain of the centrist government in the state of the European Union increasingly important, given Nawrocki’s commitment to use the presidential veto to block the reforms of Prime Minister Donald Tusk and be welcomed by the right forces in Europe and the United States.
