Camp reactions
Chief coach Justin Madugu was full of praise for his squad:
“We talked about being more clinical in front of the goal, and the girls responded magnificently. This was a complete performance. The defense remained firm, the center of the field controlled the tempo and the attack was ruthless.”
Defender Ashleight Plumptre, once again immense in the back, emphasized the cohesion of the team:
“It was not individuals, it was a collective effort. We respect Zambia, but we came prepared, and now we are focused on going to the end.”
