Breaking: Polish Woman Swiatek moves American to win the first Wimbledon, 6th Grand Slam

Iga Swiatek has demolished Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in the final of the most unilateral women’s Wimbledon for 114 years to win her sixth Grand Slam title.

The eighth Polish seed was responsible for the first point and concluded the victory in just 57 minutes in a brutal precision performance that strikes the central field.

It is the first time that a woman won a final in Wimbledon without making a game fall since 1911, when the Chambers Dorothea Lambert of Great Britain triumphed from the same score.

And Swiattek, 24, is only the second player of the open era to win a major without losing a game in the final since Steffi Graf humiliated Natalia Zvereva at the 1988 Open of France.

Swiatek lost only one set during the entire tournament while won his first trophy on the grass, two weeks after reaching the final of the event of the Erba camp in Bad Homburg.

Demolition work
The 13th seed of the United States Anisimova should have demonstrated a stern test after extinguishing the number one world Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinal, but Swiatek did a demolition job.

Anisimova made a nervous start in warm condition on the central field, with Catherine, princess of Wales, who looked at the royal box.

It was broken in the first game, soon slipping 2-0 behind and signs seemed threatening.

The Americans seemed to have found his feet in his next service game, but the ruthless Swiattek refused to give ground and resumed to move 3-0 in the lead when Anisimova set himself.

Anisimova was facing a first set 4-0, but he was unable to stop the rampant Swiatek, who sealed the 6-0 open in just 25 minutes.

The American won only six points on his service in the first set and made 14 unformed errors.

An increasingly desperate anisimova was unable to stem the tide in the second set, with a double mash again in the third game to give its opposing game point and then make a backhand.

The crowd fought behind, but unnecessarily while Swiattek kept his level, serving to win and celebrate before consoling his devastated opponent.

Anisimova made 28 unformed errors in the 12 games.

Swiatek is the eighth consecutive women’s champion of Wimbledon since Serena Williams won her seventh and last title at the All England Club in 2016.

He won all six main finals in which he competed.

Swiatek, who now has 100 career wins Grand Slam, won the French Open four times and also the US Open, in 2022.

His previous best performance in Wimbledon was a race in the quarter -finals in 2023.
