Breaking: Tinubu to visit Benue, he moves Kaduna Trip

President Bola Tinubu has reprogrammed his official visit to Kaduna’s state. Instead, it will travel to Benue State on Wednesday 18 June 2025, as part of the renewed efforts to encourage peace and face the persistent conflict that affects communities in the state.

The visit of the President aims to evaluate firsthand the recurring crisis that has caused numerous lives and caused significant destruction.

During his stay, the president Tinubu will meet all the interested parties, including traditional sovereigns, political, religious leaders, the leaders of the community and groups of young people – to seek lasting solutions to hostilities.

In preparation for the visit, the president Tinubu has already sent the secretary to the government of the Federation, the police inspector, the heads of the intelligence agencies, the director for national security and the presidents of the Senate committees and the defense of the Chamber to Benue State.

The President will be held a meeting of the Town Hall with all the parties concerned during the visit.

President Tinubu previously condemned the ongoing violence in Benue’s state and invited all leaders and residents to embrace peace, love and mutual understanding.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and all those who have undergone losses because of the crisis.

According to his itinerary released during the weekend, the president Tinubu should have visited the state of Kaduna on Wednesday to commission various state government projects.

However, the official visit will now take place on Thursday 19 June 2025.
