The 25-year-old Onyeka played a pivotal role in the Bees’ historic ninth-place finish in the Premier League last season, a remarkable achievement for the club.
Having previously experienced Champions League football with his former team, Midtjylland, the Nigerian is confident that there’s no reason why Brentford can’t set their sights on similar success.
“I’d love to play in the Champions League again, and I believe that as a club, we can compete in Europe,” the Midfielder said.
“That’s our goal as well. It would be fantastic to experience Champions League football with Brentford.
“As for how long it will take, well, that remains to be seen. But we’re determined to make it happen.”
Frank Onyeka was in action as Brentford secured a shock 2-0 over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
