CAF appoints Amaju Pinnick as a special consultant of President Motsepe

Former president of Nigeria Football Federation (Nff), Amaju Pinnick, was appointed special councilor of the president of the African football confederation (CAF), Patrice Motsepe.

The appointment, approved by the CAF Executive Committee on Saturday, marks a significant return to the Continental Football Administration for the 54 -year -old.

With his new role, Pinnick will now participate in the meetings of the CAF executive committee, offering strategic advice to the president of the CAF on key issues that affect African football.

Pinnick, who recently lost his place in the Fifa Council, remains a prominent figure in the governance of football. It was the third Nigerian who served on the highest decision -making organ of Fifa after Oyo Orok Oyo and Amos Adamu.

His appointment is widely seen as a recognition of his longtime contributions to the growth and development of football throughout the continent.
