Conservative historian Karol Nawrocki, who was inspired by Donald Trump, has won the Polish presidential election.
Mr. Nawrocki secured 50.89% of his votes while his opponent, Pro-Eue Liberal Candidate Rafal Trzaskowski, took 49.11%.
Previously, the poll came out called the opposite result – with the two men declaring victory.
Mr Nawrocki has positioned himself as a defender of traditional Poland values, harmonized himself with conservative US, including Trump, and showing skeptical of the EU.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trzaskowski, 53, has promised to ease abortion restrictions, introduce civil partnership for LGBT couples and promote constructive relations with European partners.
Voting has been carefully monitored in a neighboring country Ukraine As well as in Russia, the European Union and the United States – and the final result will decide whether Poland Pivot goes to a more liberal norm or takes a more nationalist path.
The new Poland president will have a significant influence on whether the central government of the country can fulfill its agenda, given the president’s power to veto the law.

This runoff followed the first round that was contested tightly in May, which made Trzaskowski win more than 31% and Mr. Nawrocki was almost 30%, eliminating 11 other candidates.
