Cardinal US Robert Francis Prevost has been chosen as a new whale.
He was confirmed by Senior Cardinal Dominique Mamberti, who came out to St. Peter’s Basilica Balcony to cheer.

The new whale was chosen on the second day of the conclave after white smoke emerged from Sistine’s chapel right after 17:00 (English time) on Thursday.
