CFR Cluj shows interest in Kenneth Omeruo

According to reports, Romanian giants, Cfr Cluj are interested in signing Nigeria International Kenneth Omeruo.
Omeruo has been without a club since he separated from the Turkish side Kasımpaşa in January. CFR Cluj is looking to reinforce its defensive options before the next season, since its goal is to claim the title of League I for the first time in three years.

Mainly a center-person, Omeruo is also able to play as a right side.

Its defensive attributes, particularly their ability to read the game and intercept dangerous plays, make it a valuable asset for any background.

The potential movement could be attractive to Omeruo, especially with CFR Cluj ready to compete in the League of the UEFA Europe 2025/26 Conference.

The 30 -year -old contributes great experience to the table.

He made his debut for Nigeria with only 19 years, won the Cup of Nations of Africa at age 20 and has appeared in several important tournaments, including the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

More recently, he was part of the Super Eagles team that ended as a runner -up in AFCon 2023.

If the transfer materializes, it would be a free movement, an additional advantage for CFR Cluj while seeking to strengthen their team for the next season.
