The Chairperson of the Abuja City Area Council (AMAC), Mr. Christopher Maikaluu, has discarded the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Congress of All Progressive (APC).
Maikalu, in a statement issued on Monday by his senior special assistant in the media and public affairs, Mr. Kingsley Madaki, said he joined APC to get a greater opportunity for his people.
He stressed that the council had lost federal appointment and employment opportunities due to political disappointment.
“The position we took was for the good of democracy and to ensure that good people AMAC move forward
“The decision was rooted in the collective interests of the constituents. I was not elected to lead all Nigeria, but the population of AMAC.

“I see the interests of my people and I have seen that this interest cannot be protected on other platforms,” โโhe said.
The Chairman of AMAC expressed the belief that APC would provide a more promising platform to advance the welfare of his people.
He showed that his defector was a step that was calculated towards sustainable development and inclusive governance in the area.
Maikalu was elected as chairman of AMAC under the PDP platform in 2022.
