Chelle names the final team of Super Eagles for the W’Cup qualifications

The Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, Tuesday, announced his last team of 23 men in view of the qualifying matches of the 2026 World Cup in Nigeria against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The coach released an extended temporary team of 39 players last week.

These will be his debuts in office for the three times African champions.

The team consists of three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders and seven attackers, with a mix of expert names and new faces.

Complete team list:
Goalkeepers: Amas Obasogie, Kayode Bankole, Stanley Nwabali.

Defenders: Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Igoh Ogbu, William Troost-Eekong.

Midfielders: Alex Iwobi, Alhassan Yusuf, Joe Aribo, Pope Daniel Mustapha, Raphael Onyedika, Wilfred Ndidi.

Next: Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Nathan Tella, Sadiq Urar, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Victor Boniface, Victor Osimhen.
