Directed by coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Nigerian team won its first level match against Tunisia 1-0 before drawing 0-0 with Morocco in its second game. They will face Kenya for a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament, which serves as classifying for the U20 World Cup.
Flying eagles must be in the semifinal to reserve a place in the next World Cup, and Chelle will look for players who have the potential to be part of the senior team in the future, especially if it stays during the entire duration of its two -year agreement, which could be activated if it qualifies for the World Cup.
