Chelsea qualified for the Champions League as Forest, Villa Miss Out

Chelsea had sealed their place in the UEFA Champions League next season after they defeated Nottingham Forest on the last day of the Premier League.

The Blues won a narrow and nervous victory in Nottingham Forest, with Levi Colwill’s goal in the 52nd minute to seal a 1-0 victory.

The strike in the second half of the defender meant that the Enzo Marsca team finished fourth in the Premier League and ended Forest’s own hopes to return to the top table of Europe.

Victory also gave the Perfect Chelsea Platform for Wednesday Conference League final against Real Betis in Poland.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United also won the Champions League despite losing at home to Everton on the last day.

The game played at St. James Park, Everton, in the 13th place before kick-off, won 1-0 over their host, Carlos Alcaraz’s header after 65 minutes of sealing victory.

Newcastle supporters are in a state of high anxiety until the news is filtered through Manchester United in front of Aston Villa, triggers a scene of wild joy.

Villa, which was reduced to 10 people from the first half after goalkeeper Martinez was expelled, was passed from the Champions League because they finally lost 2-0 to the Red Devils.

In Fulham, Iikay Gündoğan and Erling Haaland scored to help Manchester City win 2-0 over their host and finish third place to qualify for the Champions League next season.
