China will impose a 34 % rate on imports from the United States from April 10, the customs authorities have announced on Friday.
The move arrives in retaliation for a 34 % duty on the Chinese goods announced by the President of the United States Donald Trump on Wednesday as part of a wide range of rates on commercial partners all over the world.
Beijing has also included 11 American companies in the black list, making it impossible for interested parties to continue negotiating in China or Chinese companies.
In addition, Beijing has imposed export controls on several rare earth metals, which are often used to create vital components for digital devices in the United States with immediate effect.
Finally, Beijing announced that he would have a complaint against the United States with the organization of world trade (OMC).
Trump’s announcement on Wednesday brought the Total US tariffs on imports from China to 54 %, since a 20 % budget was already underway.
The Ministry of Commerce of Beijing stated that the US rates are based on subjective unilateral evaluations and violated international commercial norms.
