Chinese miners were detained because of alleged illegal operations in Anambra

The police operation in Anambra has arrested a miners suspected of miners on the alleged illegal mining activities in Agleri, the territory of the East Anambra regional government in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed this in a statement on Saturday at AWKA.

He said the operators of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) received suspects from the Anambra Clean and Healthy Operations Officer (Ocha Brigade) on Friday.

“The suspect, who was identified as Mu Hua Qiang, 45, a resident of Agulari, was arrested for alleged involvement in illegal mining operations in the community.

“His statement has been obtained voluntarily, and he has been placed in legal detention for further investigation,” said Ikenga.

He added that further details about this case would be announced at the end of the investigation.
