The delivery giant based on Nigeria’s request, ChowDeck has completed the acquisition of Mira, the restaurant sales system (POS) system business.
The agreement shows the company’s ambitious plan to expand beyond the last mile shipping service throughout Africa.
It is expected to make ChowDeck a more complete technology partner for food and hospitality companies throughout Africa, even if the provisions of the agreement are not published.
This acquisition is in line with the aim of Chowdeck to become a vital technology partner for food companies throughout the continent, according to Femi Aluko, Chief Executive Officer and company co-founder.
When ChowDeck moves beyond the last mile logistics to the heart of the food industry operational, Aluko claims the transaction will assist the company in solving its inventory management problems.

He said: “For a long time, we are more focused on the customer’s side than in restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmaceutical sides.
“But when we begin to develop, we pay more attention to the vendor side.”
Critical operational problems faced by African hotel companies, such as inconsistent supply chains, poorly managed inventories, and specific software scarcity, must be resolved by Mira technology integration.
It is estimated that the integration of Mira technology will solve important operational problems faced by African hospitality companies, including inconsistent supply chains, poorly managed inventory, and scarcity of special software.
