Chude Jideonwo, a media business and storyteller, plans to fight the recent defamation decision obtained by Diezani Alison-Mugeke, a former Minister of Oil Resources.
Remember that on April 19, the Bayelsa State High Court decided that Chude Jideonwo and the documentary film producer ‘whether your money’ pays the Diezani Alison-Matekeke N500 million in damage.
The Bayelsa State High Court gave a decision in connection with the four -part documentary series Jideonwo “Is this your money?” who examined the claim of corruption that extended during the term of office of Alison Hikeke in the office.

Because the brave storyline and comprehensive reporting, this series attracts a lot of attention. While legal action is ongoing, the first two episodes will be removed temporarily from the Jideonwo platform.
While reacting to the lawsuit, Jideonwo said, “This legal challenge is more than just a personal battle. This raises urgent questions about freedom of press, responsible journalism, and the future storytelling investigations in Nigeria. If this decision is permitted to stand, it can establish troubling power. Journalists and filmmakers may begin to be afraid to say about the truth.”
