Samuel Chukwueze emerged as the savior for AC Milan, securing a crucial 2-1 victory against Newcastle United at St James’ Park in the UEFA Champions League, on Wednesday.

Facing a potential elimination from European competition after Joelinton’s opener for the Magpies, AC Milan executed a remarkable comeback, with substitutes Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze playing pivotal roles in overturning the result.

 

 

Pulisic leveled the score before Chukwueze, introduced just 70 seconds earlier, orchestrated a perfect counter-attack.

Noah Okafor’s precise pass down the right set the stage for the Nigerian, who cut inside and expertly curled a left-footed shot into the far top corner, completing the comeback.

Chukwueze’s impact extended beyond his match-winning goal, boasting a remarkable 12-minute performance that included a 100% pass accuracy, 4 touches, 2 key passes, and creating 1 big chance.

Despite the triumph, AC Milan dropped to the Europa League, as the other Group game between Paris St Germain and Borussia Dortmund concluded in a 1-1 draw.
