“It’s a work in progress,” said coach Olowookere. “Playing a qualifier in Africa is different to playing in the World Cup.

The key to a good result is hard work. We need to train very well to meet world standards if we want to win the World Cup,” he told Sports 247.

The coach highlighted the importance of understanding the opponent and not underestimating any team.

“There is no easy group. All the teams have been crowned champions in their respective continents. We don’t judge them by their name, but we take each opponent seriously and work against them.”

Looking ahead, Coach Olowookere aims to advance beyond the group stage and make a significant impact.

“Our goal is to qualify in the group stage and advance to the knockout stage. “We want to make sure we rise to the occasion and are capable of winning the trophy.”

Reflecting on his past experience at the World Cup, Coach Olowookere shared his aspirations for the upcoming tournament.

“At the last World Cup I presented something unique and people recognised me for it. This time, I want to establish myself in the world of football again. I pray for success and hope to leave my mark on the world stage, like famous coaches do.”

With preparations underway, Coach Olowookere and his team are focused on achieving excellence and representing Nigeria with pride on the world stage.
