Nigerian comedian Lawrence Oluwaseyitan Aletile popular in showbiz as Seyi Law has explained how he deals with online trolls and backlash on social media.
The humor merchant was open when he appeared as a guest on HIP TV admits to keeping online negativity from affecting his moral principles in real life and never letting it affect him personally.
Speaking about his recent transition from comedy to politics, Seyi Law stated that everything is irrelevant as long as he is right with God.

“Some say they are E warriors; as long as I try to be compassionate and kind to others, I am in the right position before my creator. Once I am in the right position before my creator, everything else is irrelevant,” he explained.
Seyi also warned against making defamatory statements without supporting evidence and drew a clear distinction between personal insults and defamation.
βTo those who retaliate and those who choose to arrest anyone who has defamed them, I do not advise otherwise. You can insult someone and you can abuse them, but do not defame them. Do not say they are collecting money when you do not see them collecting money, do not call them ashawo when you do not see them engaging in prostitution.
βWhen someone insults me, those things are not important to me, thatβs your problem, but donβt defame me. Donβt cross the line that will land you in jail. What I think I can retaliate, I retaliate and what I think I donβt need, I ignore,β Seyi Law concluded.
